Welcome to the show! Zehn Tage Spitzensport im Westernreiten aus ganz Europa

Reiter und Pferde, Showmanager und Showteam stehen in den Startlöchern. Die 27. Europameisterschaft der American Quarter Horses findet von Freitag, 5. August, bis Sonntag, 14. August in der Ostbayernhalle in Rieden-Kreuth statt. Dann treffen sich Reiter aus zahlreichen Nationen und zeigen Spitzensport im Westernreiten. Die Showmanager Michaela Kayser und Markus Rensing blicken der Europameisterschaft positiv entgegen: „Wir erwarten über 400 Pferd-Reiter-Kombinationen mit tollen Pferden und Reitern, die Westernreiten auf hohem Niveau zeigen. Insgesamt 12 Disziplinen bieten wir dieses Jahr wieder an, in denen Reiter und Pferde an den Start gehen können. Die internationale Atmosphäre des Turnieres ist ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis“, freut sich Michaela Kayser.

Alle Prüfungen finden in der Ostbayernhalle statt. Fünf Richter bewerten im Vorlauf in der Ostbayernhalle die Ritte. Wie auf der AQHA-Worldshow in Oklahoma City. Anders als bei der Worldshow, erhalten die Teilnehmer in den Vorläufen die jeweiligen AQHA-Punkte für ihre Platzierungen. Die Europameisterschaft ist weltweit die einzige AQHA-Show, bei der Teilnehmer mit einem Ritt fünffach die jeweiligen AQHA-Punkte für ihre Platzierungen erhalten.

The 27^th European championships of American Quarter Horses 2016

Riders and horses, show managers and the show team are all set and ready to go. The 27^th European championships of American Quarter Horses take place Friday, 5 August, to Sunday, 14 August, at the “Ostbayernhalle” in Rieden-Kreuth, where riders from many different countries present western riding at top level. Show managers Michaela Kayser and Markus Rensing are looking forward to the European championships: “We expect over 400 horse-rider combinations with great horses and riders, who present a high level of western riding. This year, we once again offer a total of 12 disciplines in which riders and horses can compete. The international atmosphere of the tournament is an extraordinary experience”, says Michaela Kayser.

All classes take place at the “Ostbayernhalle”. Five judges assess the performances during the preliminary round at the “Ostbayernhalle” – just like at the AQHA Worldshow in Oklahoma City. But in contrast to the Worldshow, contestants receive the respective AQHA points for their positions during the preliminary rounds. The European championships are the only AQHA show worldwide where contestants receive five times the respective AQHA points for their positions in one ride.

Among the many titles and prizes, there are a total of 60 European championship titles, 20 circuit champion titles and a number of trophies, material prizes and ribbons. Each European champion receives a large Bronze Trophy „European Champion“ designed by Ellen Welten.
